We have several Head Start and Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) in our area.
Head Start is a federal preschool program for 3-5 year olds. Head Start primarily serves children from families at 130% FPL or below, although each local program has their own guidelines.
Head Start is offered at the following places:
Early Head Start is a federal preschool program for infants 6 weeks to three years. Early Head Start primarily serves children from families at or below 130% FPL, although each local program has their own guidelines. Early Head Start can be center based or ran as a home visiting program.
Early Head Start is offered at the following places:
Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) is a state preschool program that primarily serves children from families at or below 110% FPL, although each local program has their own guidelines.

- College Place Public Schools
- Touchet School District
- Prescott School District
- Inspire Child Development Center
Working Connections Child Care and Seasonal Child Care subsidies are also available if there are no Head Start or ECEAP programs nearby.

Apply online through Washington Connection. You will need to provide DCYF with the following information:
Proof of your child’s citizenship or legal residency.
Household members.
Household income.
The name and phone number of the child care provider.
